  • Information:The Primera División Amateur, popularly known as la C , is the tournament for third-category clubs in Uruguayan football, organized by the Uruguayan Football Association. It is the main category of amateur character. Originally founded in 1972 as the First Division C , it was renamed the Amateur Metropolitan League between 1997 and 2007 (and limited to teams from Montevideo and its metropolitan area), called the Second Amateur Division from the 2008-09 season, known as the Second Division.
